CALAVERAS GAMES COSMIC ARCADE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

The short version

We don't collect personal information. Our games use third-party services (Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play Billing) that may collect anonymous device identifiers and usage data. We don't sell your data. We don't have an account system. You can play our games without giving us your name, email, or any personal info.

1. Who we are

Calaveras Games is an independent game studio. This privacy policy covers Calaveras Games and all our products, including Polyflux. If you have any questions, email us at contact@calaverasgames.com.

2. What we collect directly

Nothing. We don't have user accounts. We don't ask for your name, email, age, location, or any other personal information. We never directly collect or store personal data on our own servers.

Leaderboard handles

If you submit a high score to a leaderboard within our game, you can choose a display handle (up to 16 characters). This handle is public alongside your score. It's not tied to your real identity — make up whatever you want. We don't link it to any other information.

3. What third-party services collect

Our games use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices, which we link below.

Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how players engage with our games — things like how long a typical session lasts, which features people use, and how often the app crashes. This helps us make better games.

Firebase Analytics may collect: anonymous device identifiers, device type and OS version, app version, language, country (derived from IP address — IP itself is not retained long-term), engagement events (e.g., when a run starts/ends, when an ad is shown), and crash reports.

Firebase Analytics does not collect: your name, email, phone number, or precise location. The data is aggregated for analysis and we cannot identify you personally from it.

See Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Firebase Realtime Database (leaderboards)

If you submit a high score, your chosen handle, your score, and a timestamp are stored in Firebase Realtime Database so other players can see the leaderboard. An anonymous Firebase Auth user ID is associated with the submission to prevent score tampering. This anonymous ID is not linked to any personal information.

Google AdMob

Our free games show advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob uses your device's advertising ID to serve relevant ads and limit ad frequency. The advertising ID is a resettable identifier that you control in your device settings — it doesn't identify you personally and can be reset or opted out of at any time.

AdMob may also collect: device type, OS version, app version, ad interaction events (impression, click, etc.), approximate location (country/region level), and other anonymous analytics. AdMob may share this data with advertisers.

If you purchase the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase (when available), no ads will be shown and AdMob will not be invoked.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization").

See AdMob's privacy policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads

Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)

When you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. Google receives your payment information, not us. We only receive an anonymous purchase confirmation token that lets us unlock the purchased content.

We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase events to verify and track entitlements.

See Google Play's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

4. Local data on your device

Our games store the following data locally on your device (via your browser's local storage or app sandbox). This data never leaves your device.

You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data through your device's settings.

5. Children's privacy

Our games are appropriate for ages 12 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through our games (despite there being no way for them to do so), please contact us at contact@calaverasgames.com and we will investigate.

6. Your choices

7. Data retention

Firebase Analytics retains aggregated data for the period set by Google (typically 2 months to 14 months, depending on Google's settings). Leaderboard scores are retained indefinitely unless you contact us to request removal of a specific score. AdMob retention is governed by Google's policies.

8. International users

Our games are available worldwide. Data processed by Google services may be transferred to and stored on servers located in countries other than your own (most commonly the United States). By using our games, you consent to such transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced in-game or on this website. Continued use of our games after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact us

If you have any questions about this privacy policy or our data practices, email us at contact@calaverasgames.com. We try to respond within a few business days.
